Congratulations, Emily Russell, on Being Named to Rising Stars for the Second Year!
McCabe Russell, PA, is pleased to announce that partner Emily Russell has been named to the 2018 Maryland Rising Stars list. This is her second consecutive year being named to the list, an honor reserved for only 2.5% of all eligible attorneys.
In order to be eligible for the Rising Stars list, and attorney must be no older than 40, or have been in practice no more than 10 years. Attorneys are nominated every year, and inclusion on the list one year does not guarantee a spot the following year. Every nominee is subject to a rigorous evaluation process, before the final list is compiled.

Emily Russell is an award-winning family law attorney who has earned a reputation for taking on complex child custody and divorce cases in Maryland. Her training as a Collaborative Divorce Practitioner, and her Certification as a Best Interest Attorney, give her clients an added advantage, as Emily can look at any given issue from multiple perspectives. This is her second consecutive year being named to the Rising Stars List, and she currently maintains a 10/10 Superb rating on Avvo. She earned Avvo’s Clients’ Choice Award in 2015, based on her commitment to advocating for clients and fighting for their futures.
Emily is also an active contributor to the legal community, as well as her own. She directs the firm’s philanthropic works, supporting local non-profits including the Howard County Autism Society, where she served as the Chair of the Legislative Committee and on the Board of Directors in 2015. Emily is currently developing a scholarship fund for women pursuing an education and career in law. She is a popular speaker, having presented at continuing legal education seminars as well as corporate events.
